The second CD, "Songs For Spirit" is different; it is cosmic, mystical, reverent, sincere ... with titles like Ode To Harmony, Star Mother, The Source, An Angel At My Shoulder, drumming and chanting Spirit Guides, mesmerizing Clara's Taize, and, on the same disk, in the third track, is the song that Clara would like to have plugged in and playing all around this planet ... it is written and performed by her extraordinarily talented friend, William (Sandy) Garrett and is entitled Universal Lullaby; it's a recording so magnificent that it will replay again and again in your heart). There are 14 songs on this disk. .Specify CD wanted and purchase through PayPal or send check to Clara Landau, 2716 Buffat Mill Road, Knoxville, TN 37917.
Innovative and ageless ... straddling the genres of jazz, souful blues, sultry torch ballads, rhythmic latinesque, and cool classical ... producing hybrid, eclectic mixes, Clara has powerful left-handed bass lines and riffs, loves doing keyboard counterpoints and harmonies with her vocal intonations. Her voice has been described by fans as "orgasmic" as well as "celestial". A singer, songwriter, piano and split (bass) keyboard player; her music evolved over a lifetime of stage and studio, with influences of hundreds of musicians and show-biz people. Some of her finest accomplishments are her "songs of spirit", created in her ongoing quest for healing (especially during her own recovery after being injured in a church shooting), inspiration, peace, compassion, and enlightenment. She's got a doctorate degree in holistic health, but says she's mostly a "practicing musician". When she's on stage, the doctor is definitely "in". The question sometimes asked is "How old is this child-woman-wise sage, anyway"? Well, it's anybody's guess. Her best friend suspects she's an alien (the cosmic kind). Music, her first passion, makes everything else possible for her to do.
"We are all in the same cosmic canoe" ... Clara
